James Lejeune

 Director & Co-Lead Creative

Art With Purpose. Creativity for Everyone.

James is a passionate freelance illustrator inspired by historical, ethical and environmental themes, and how culture visually tells the stories that shape our world.  After many years working as a gardener — once believing university wasn’t for him — he returned to education as a mature student, earning a BA (Hons) in Illustration and an MA in Animation.

Known for his bold, expressive drawing style, James believes creativity should be accessible, welcoming and meaningful. As Co-Founder of The Art Harbour CIC, he is committed to creating spaces where people feel they belong, feel confident to express themselves, and experience the joy of making art together.

Tina Bullen

Co-Lead Creative

Gentle Creativity. Deep Connection.

Tina is a freelance artist-educator based in Colchester, with extensive experience across Further Education, Higher Education and the voluntary sector. She has taught and trained adults across a wide range of subjects, always with a focus on encouragement, growth and confidence. Her own artwork is atmospheric and reflective, exploring tone, softness, light and solitude, often inspired by her local environment.

Alongside her visual practice, writing and poetry are central to her creative life — she is the author of three books and a regular contributor on Substack. An active member of the Colchester art community, Tina has exhibited widely across East Anglia and is passionate about helping others feel comfortable, capable and connected through creative expression at The Art Harbour.

Sarah Antoni

Director, & Co-Programme Lead

Connecting Creativity with Community

Sarah is passionate about making creative experiences accessible within community support settings.  She has much lived experience with mental health caused by both work and personal circumstances.

After retiring from a career in financial services and IT, she expanded her work as a yoga teacher and wellbeing facilitator — where she became increasingly aware of both the powerful impact of creative activity on wellbeing, and the limited earning opportunities available to emerging artists.  Seeing the potential to connect these two worlds, Sarah co-founded The Art Harbour CIC to bring together talented local artists and community groups who would benefit from meaningful, confidence-building art experiences.

As Director and Co-Programme Lead, she focuses on building partnerships, shaping programmes and ensuring that every Art Harbour event feels welcoming, purposeful and supportive.

Co-Founder of The Art Harbour CIC.

Sharon Scarth

Programme Coordinator & Wellbeing Practitioner

Grounded. Organised. Supportive.

Sharon is a qualified Life Coach, Counsellor, Trainer and Yoga Teacher with extensive experience supporting individuals and professionals in both one-to-one and small group settings. She leads training programmes for coaches and organises events for charitable organisations, including coordinating online and in-person events through her work with the Miracle Network UK.

Highly skilled in communication and logistics, Sharon brings clarity and care to coordinating speakers, partners and community groups. At The Art Harbour, she plays a key role in organising programmes and events — while also contributing thoughtful ideas, encouragement and steady insight to the team.  Her life and work are deeply rooted in mindfulness practice, and she regularly attends Vipassana retreats, bringing a grounded and compassionate presence to everything she does.

Olivia Hawthorne

Director & Co-Programme Lead

Connecting People, Technology, and Wellbeing

Olivia is passionate about supporting mental wellbeing and community connection, informed by her own experiences with mental health.

After leaving a career in corporate IT, she founded her own business helping older adults navigate technology — from phone setup to Wi-Fi troubleshooting and printer support — bringing confidence and independence to her clients.

Sarah invited Olivia to join The Art Harbour having worked together previously - identifying her key skills as a programme lead in technology projects as well as strong organisational ability.  Olivia's community support will enhance creative experiences for all, while continuing to learn and grow alongside a team dedicated to wellbeing through art.
