The Art Harbour - Meet the team

We are a multi-disciplined team, creatives and non-creatives together we combine our individual skills, experience - both professional and of life - to deliver services that support our communities

James Lejeune

Director, Co-Lead Creative

A passionate artist greatly inspired by historical, ethical, or environmental issues. I have found great joy in discovering how culture visually describes them to us.

James once felt that furthering himself academically was beyond him, so spent many years as a gardener enjoying outdoor work.

As a mature student he now holds a Bachelor of Arts in Illustration and a Master of Arts in Animation.

His work often uses a bold and expressive drawing style that creates a strong and clear message within the image. A full-time illustrator and artist, James is excited to be a Director of The Art Harbour - bringing the joy and benefits of visual art creation of a variety of groups in the community.

Co-Founder of The Art Harbour CIC.

Tina Bullen

Co-Lead Creative

Tina Bullen is a freelance artist-educator from Colchester. In her time, Tina has worked in FE, HE and the voluntary sector, teaching and training adults across a wide spectrum of topics. She is now empowering others to engage with art, as well as creating her own work. She makes atmospheric artwork that focuses on tone, softness, light and solitude, that connects strongly with her environment.

Writing, poetry and blogging about art is also a large part of her practice: she has written three books and is a frequent contributor on Substack. She is a very active part of the Colchester art scene, is a member of the Colchester Art Society and other groups. She has taken part in and project managed a number of her own and group exhibitions across East Anglia.

Sarah Antoni

Director, Programme Lead

Passionate about bringing creative art services to community support groups, Sarah had the vision for this CIC as she become aware of the lack of earning opportunities for talented artists still in fairly early stages of establishment.  Following her retirement from the financial services and IT sector she expanded her yoga teaching.  It was here she has discovered many wonderful community support groups that would benefit from creative art events.  Therefore she co-founded this CIC in order to bring together talented emerging artists and potential support services that could use valuable art experiences - to enhance well-being in so many ways

Co-Founder of The Art Harbour CIC.
